L’AZURDE, a renowned middle-eastern jewelry retailer with a presence in Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, decided to step into the e-commerce world in times of pandemic. It turned out great and e-commerce immediately jumped to approximately 10% of retail revenue. This generated a new challenge: data was largely disorganized and not activated. The potential was to consolidate the data, start engaging customers more efficiently, personalize the customer experience, and increase revenue.
L’AZURDE doubled the size of the usable database and reached 20 times more customers
After the rapid e-commerce expansion data was placed and unused in several systems. Thanks to Bloomreach Customer Data Engine functionality and Voxwise analysts data was quickly consolidated and deduplicated. With the set of smart steps and technology the size of the usable database almost doubled. Additionally, prior to this change, the open rate of messages to customers was only 2.48%. This was increased to 26.6% and 99% delivery rate. Together 20 x more customers were reached as a result of these actions, generating a significant financial effect, with real invoiced orders tracked.
Intelligent personalization and data consolidation increased revenue by around 1 m EUR p.a.
Based on the first 3 months of the cooperation with L’AZURDE and real orders tracked in the system, the financial effect is estimated at approximately 1M € p.a. after managing to collect all the stranded customer data from different places into one place and implementing smart customer engagement functionalities such as automation, personalization, web layers/experiments.
